Prayer: A Table of Equals
Holy One,
Source of Life and Love,
We gather at this sacred table—
not as strangers,
but as companions on the journey.
Here, in the breaking of bread,
you reveal yourself again—
in every face,
in every story,
in every outstretched hand.
Christ among us,
you invite all to the feast—
not a chosen few,
but the whole human family.
At this table,
there is no hierarchy of worthiness,
no division of insider and outsider—
only the wide embrace of your love.
Spirit of Wisdom,
you rise within us
as courage and compassion,
calling us to remember:
We are the Body of Christ.
Bless this bread—
and bless our lives.
May we become what we receive:
nourishment for the hungry,
healing for the broken,
justice for the oppressed,
and love made visible in the world.
May this table stretch wide—
until all are welcomed,
all are honored,
all are fed.
And may we leave this place
as living Eucharist—
bearing your presence
into every corner of our world.
