Welcome! Jeanne. We warmly welcome you to the inclusive Catholic Community, Mary Mother of Jesus, our church without walls. All are welcome here.

Whoever you are,

Wherever you are,

Just as you are,

You are welcome at this table.

(Integral Christianity by Paul Smith)

Theme. Michael Our theme today continues one of Elena’s themes from two weeks ago:

Christ around the table—our community

Christ on the table—the elements of bread and wine

Christ at the table—our priest

Opening 🎶  Taste and see. All sing refrain:

Oh taste and see, taste and see, the goodness of Christ.

Oh taste and see, taste and see, the goodness of Christ, of Christ.

Michael (v1) My soul shall glory in Christ,

Christ’s praise shall be always on my lips;

My soul shall glory in Christ,

For Christ has been so good to me. (Refrain)

All: In the name of God ✝️ our creator, Jesus the Christ, and the Holy Spirit our wisdom within. Amen.

Andrea: Let us welcome one another with a sign of Christ’s peace!

All: Namaste, Namaste, Namaste!

Offering of Our Gifts at the table.  Have bread and wine on your table

Andrea: O Holy One, we bring you our gifts from creation, bread 🥖 of the grain and wine🍷of the grapes. We recognize that they are holy in you their creator. And we know that they will make us holy, one with you and one with each other.

Eucharistic Prayer.

Michael: Let us sing “We Are Holy,” our song with photos that remind us of our community gathered around the table at liturgy: Christ around the table.

Mary. 1st Reading is from the Good News according to Luke.

In the course of their meal, having taken and blessed the bread 🥖, Jesus broke it and gave it to them and said,

All: “Take, this is my body.”

Taking the chalice 🍷, Jesus gave it to them, thanking God, and they all drank from it. Jesus said,

   All: “This is my blood,

   God's new covenant,

   Poured out for many people.”

Jack. 2nd Reading is from the Good News according to Mathew.

During the meal, Jesus took and blessed the bread 🥖 broke it, and gave it to the disciples:

   All: Take, eat.

   This is my body.”

Taking the cup 🍷 and thanking God, Jesus gave it to them:

All: Drink this, all of you.

   This is my blood,

God's new covenant poured out for many people

   for the forgiveness of sins.

Michael. 3rd Reading is from Paul’s letter to the Corinth community.

Let me go over with you again exactly what goes on in the Community Meal and why it is so centrally important. I received my instructions from Jesus himself and passed them on to you. Jesus, on the night of his betrayal, took bread 🥖. Having given thanks, Jesus broke it and said,

All: “This is my body, broken for you.

   Do this to remember me.”

After supper, Jesus did the same thing with the cup🍷:

All: “This cup is my blood, my new covenant with you. Each time you drink this cup, remember me.”

Readings from The Message by Eugene H Peterson

Jeanne: Dear MMOJ Saints, we turn to you for protection and guidance as we strive to live the gospel values you modeled. Especially compassion for the neglected and marginalized. May we see them as Christ among us.

All: This is Jesus who liberates, heals and transforms us and our world. All are invited to partake of this banquet of love. We are the Body of Christ.

Jeanne: All are welcome at the table. As you receive or pass the bread or the cup, please say, “I am/You are the light of the world. Shine on!”

After Communion. All 🎶: Taste and See (Refrain)

The rains fall soft upon your fields.

And until we meet again,

May God hold you in the palm of God’s hand.

Jeanne: Go in peace. May we be Christ wherever we taste or see Christ. All: Thanks be to God. Alleluia

Closing 🎶: Taste and See. (Refrain)

Michael (v3): Worship Christ, all you people.

You’ll want for nothing if you ask.
